Another nature escape to the other part of UAE this weekend. UAE is a nature-rich country with oil refineries, red sand dunes, mountain terrains, blue waters and clean beaches. We explored the newly launched highway that brings you from Dubai to Fujairah in just 1 hour. The new highway is built to reduce the traveling time to this beautiful city of Fujairah, surrounded by the barren dark brown rocky mountains and also owns a vast coastline. Fujairah has its own International Airport and there are talks about having a port that caters to International Cruiseliners, if it happens this place will become exceptional and now with the new highway Dubai and other Emirates would be much closer for the tourists. There is a lot of construction sites in Fujairah at the moment, just like any other part of UAE, Fujairah is also transitioning into a better tourist attraction. The only thing I didn’t like was they are cutting mountains to create new roads and building material. The scenic beauty of the highway is gone, the mountains look almost naked. But since it’s a new site and freshly cut, hopefully with the upcoming seasons, it would regain its beauty. While going back I want to go through the old mountain route of Masafi town to the marketplace, that drive was magnificent, it is the charm while you are visiting Fujairah.
I, my curls and my love for nature checked into V hotel Fujairah today to explore the surroundings of Fujairah. V hotel is a new brand entered to conquer the market last year, the brand says it all, V for Victory. The group has huge plans to expand in the other part of UAE as well.
V hotel Fujairah is located right in front of corniche and has a beach access. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We have a large 3 bedroom suite with Smart TV’s and equipped with all necessary modern amenities. There are a few nightclubs, Filipino, Asian and Arabic in the premises on the top floors and they do really well. We’re thinking to hit the dance floors hopefully after the kids are asleep, let’s see. There is billiards in the Ice-lounge just across the reception. The rooftop pool is good to engage kids during the day, there is separate kids pool for kids. If you wanna relax, enjoy their spa. Gym and Sauna are also available if you never wanna miss your fitness routines.
There are plenty of things to do in the area, we drove to Khor Fakan beach for water sports. Hubby and elder one explored the Jet Ski this time and we all enjoyed a sundowner boat ride. We still have to go for parasailing, it looked pretty enticing, probably tomorrow.
Thank you V hotel for your hospitality, we are really enjoying our stay. The below picture is taken on the boat ride in Arabian sea at dusk where the Sun is waving goodbyes to this part of the world until he shows up bright and more gorgeous the very next day.
Just an update, we drove to Dubai via Masafi, this was the old longer route. The drive was mesmerizing as I had it in my memories, we passed the Friday market at Masafi and then it started to get boring as the road goes through a lot of roundabouts and passes through the city. This drive took us more than 2 hours with 2 stops in the middle. So, the conclusion now is, the newly launched highly is much faster with a straight highway and you will be in Fujairah in less than an hour.
The shot below is taken at the sunrise from V hotel Fujairah Corniche, we cannot wait to go back again to experience the hospitality and to enjoy the gifts of Mother Nature.
