We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary last week at Five Palm Jumeirah. 15 is an exceptional number and Five Palm made it memorable.
Hubby had booked a 4 bedroom villa in an exotic location surrounded by dense trees, tree houses, and wildlife in the middle of the forest to celebrate our first wedding Anniversary in 2013, in Kenya. We had a private swimming pool and a personal Jacuzzi, majestic sundowner with champagne and live music enhanced our evening. The dinner was exclusively served at Villa’s rooftop with musicians playing English and African tunes. It was very unbelievable, nostalgic and unforgettable.
Years later, to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, we booked at Five Palm Jumeirah, a luxurious 5* resort located on the shores of Arabian Sea. Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island, built in a shape of Palm tree. Five Palm Jumeirah has not only created their space but glorified Palm Island with their substantial design and architecture. Five Palm is a trendsetter.
Beach location, kids pool and splash pad, kids club with video games, activities and toys, large pool overlooking the ocean with the bar on the side, shisha, water sports, nightclub, spa, health club, world-class restaurants, excellent customer service, half board/ full board options, this is all that you can expect when you are Five Palm Jumeirah. Not to forget, the mesmerizing sunset, seagulls and dazzling ocean in the evening overlooking the new Iconic Dubai Eye and skyscrapers at Jumeirah Beach Residences. Most of the public areas are made out of white marble.
Five Palm Jumeirah works on the belief of 5 elements of nature as in Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Space, they also have a tagline that says, “Atithi Devo Bhava” means “The Guest is God”. They take care of their guests as if the Gods are visiting their own house. The management team works well with their staff to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.
“Welcome Home” greetings came as we entered the resort, after the smooth check-in, we were taken to our room. Room; I’d rather say, a villa with 4 en-suite bedrooms, a large living room, equipped spacious kitchen, a private pool in the backyard and a Jacuzzi on the top level. White marble supplements the décor of the bathrooms. This villa is perfect for large families with children; it also has the laundry machine, microwave, fridge and everything else to make the guests comfortable just like their own home.
Our kids never came out of the swimming pool; they were in it the whole time during our stay. They visited the splash pad and kids club as well but the private pool was the main attraction. We had to literally push them out for dinner; they didn’t even bother to see the sunset. It was getting dark and I definitely didn’t want to miss it and actually enjoyed watching the sunset with peace, :). Flying seagulls, orange and dusky skies and glittering wavy water was so enchanting; I managed to capture a few good shots. If you’re at Five Palm, make sure to visit the beach at sunset, sea facing rooms can also experience it from their balconies but the closer look at the beach is enthralling. As the dawn approaches, people dress up to enjoy shisha near the beach.
We had our anniversary dinner at “Boulevard One” which serves a large spread of buffet with the tantalizing choice of cuisines and mouthwatering dishes. Five Palm has one of the best Italian and Chinese restaurants in Dubai. We enjoyed an enticing, sumptuous dinner at their Italian Restaurant last time and this time Boulevard One was just awesome as well. A widespread ensures everyone gets their picks to relish their evening. I got some of my favorite finger licking dishes on the menu and loved the taste in splendid ambiance.
The next morning was already expected as lazy and all my kids wanted are to go to the pool but I chased them to the beach first. The sight was beautiful. Breakfast is served every day at Boulevard one, the hotel was 98% occupancy so the restaurant was totally full. The staffs were very proficient and managed it very well, repeatedly asking the guests if they need anything. The colossal breakfast menu with fresh fruit juices and freshly brewed cappuccino will gear you up for the day out in the city. We definitely didn’t need lunch after the heavy breakfast.
Thank you Five Palm Jumeirah for taking us down the memory lane and how thoughtful of you to allocate us room no 20002. As, I noticed and said, remove a Zero and this is when we got married, 🙂 A big thank you to the team of Five Palm Jumeirah for pampering us, we will definitely go back again.
