Unity in Diversity

“We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race.”
Kofi Annan

Have you noticed the similarity in India and Canada??Both countries have the same concept of “Equality of all religions” because the God is one! Whether you go to the Church, Temple, Mosque or Gurudwara, you are only praying for one supreme power, only the way of worship is different. Communion of peace and humanity is the best religion in the world. Both countries boast the theory of “Unity in diversity”.

Canada is very rich in multiculturalism and welcomes thousands of immigrants from different parts of the world every year, regardless of their race, religion and belief, the country treats everyone with the same respect. On the other side, India combines 29 states and 7 territories ,though every state have their own tradition, religion and belief but at the end, it is one strong nation.

I’ve always had strong belief in Almighty God. Back in my childhood days, during our summer vacations in Nainital (my birth place and a famous hill station in India). I and my friend visited Gurudwara, Church and Temple, all on the same evening; we would bow down and pray to the Lord. We only couldn’t enter the mosque and stood outside, wishing if they could allow us to enter and pray. Nainital is just one perfect place to experience God’s houses for each belief in such a short distance. This was our agenda whenever we hanged out together and the feeling was incredible every time.

It’s all about belief; I don’t think God is any different. It’s us humans who are trying to flight on His name and dividing the civilization.

But there is one thing what is positive; our people have always come up together to celebrate the festivals, to fight the troubles,at the time of need and when country’s reputation is on stake. Both the countries religiously believe in “Unity in Diversity”. I’m so proud to get birth in one and living in another.

It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
